I am not really sure what I am going to do with this yet, but I am thinking it may be a fun thing to add to our webpage - www.hineshouse.com.
I always have a lot to share, but don't always have the time to update the webpage. So maybe this will help me keep everyone up to date.
My goal for 2009 is to keep in touch with friends and family a little better. Being many many miles away form everyone, I feel like I am always forgetting to share what is going on in our lives!
Our Thanksgiving weekend/break was very relaxing. Having Perry home for 4 days in a row was truly a treat for the whole family. The girls love when daddy is home because they get just about anything they want, Carl is thrilled b/c daddy knows how to play with his boy toys much better than mommy does, and the dog loves it b/c he is able to go to the dog park and get more attention, heck even the cats get special treatment when daddy is home for an extended stay. Oh and did I mention mommy (thats me) was able to get in some much needed me time!!

- Thursday am we decided it was time to take down Carl's crib and put him in a big boy bed - what a tough decision for me (I almost cried), but he was thrilled and is doing so well with it.
- Black Friday I discovered the true craziness of holiday shopping and decided that I am a crazy shopper myself, but not nearly as crazy as the hundreds of people waiting in line to enter Target (an hour and a half after opening). I can't imagine anything that I would want bad enough to wait in line, in the freezeing cold, to buy! I did enjoy the discounts I recieved at Kohls and will probably return there in years to come.
- On Saturday Papa and Grandma Hines came down for a visit, along with Amber and Hunter. We spent the day playing Wii and listening to Hunter do his stand-up comedy routine (he is seriously a riot)!
- On Sunday we put up the tree, did more winterizing of the house, and cleaned out Kennedy's closet! Not sure how that took the entire day, but it did :o) We always try to make the most of our sundays because in a typical hineshouse week it is our only full day with Perry/daddy home.
- aside from all that, I am working on making 30 stockings for Lily's preschool Christmas party (yes I am crazy, but is so much fun) by the time I finish these I should be a pretty damn good seamstress. Next I am making one for both Perry and I, I have plans to make them really fancy. the ones for the school are just plain red, very boring, but perfect for holiday treats and goodies.
